To ensure public safety, the British government bans….. Samurai Swords?!?

Samurai

Yes, you read correctly. The British government is officially adding Samurai swords to the Offensive Weapons Order effective April 2008. This means that you will no longer be able to purchase or import Samurai swords because they supposedly pose a danger to the general public. This is the same order that prevents the Brits from owning guns.

What’s next? Baseball bats? (I guess it would be Cricket bats in the UK) Kitchen knives? Will the ‘Spork’ become the official utensil of Great Britain in the interest of public safety?
