Looks like we might get another Paul up on the hill, standing up for our rights! Ron Paul’s son, Rand Paul, has announced that he will run for Senate in the state of Kentucky in 2010. Maybe there is still hope!

Las Vegas ABC Affilliate Misreports NV Caucus Results

John McCain wants to stay in Iraq for 100 years
January 4th, 2008John McCain suggested yesterday in a Town Hall meeting in Hew Hampshire that he would like to have a military presence in Iraq for the next 100 years. What the hell are these people thinking? Do they not realize that our own CIA has stated that one of the main reasons the Muslim extremists attack us is our military presence in the region? This is insane! It’s called ‘Blowback’ people! A continued military presence in the middle east is the equivalent of stirring up a hill of red ants, standing on the remnants of the ant hill, and expecting to not get bitten. When will we learn?

Ron Paul to be excluded from NH forum
December 29th, 2007In an outrageous move, Fox News has excluded Ron Paul from their upcoming forum of Presidential candidates to be broadcast on Jan. 6th. Fred Thompson, who has consistently polled well below Paul for weeks in New Hampshire, has been invited to participate, along with the rest of the “top tier” candidates.
Is there truly no end to how deep the old media will sink to deny Paul fair coverage?

Peter Schiff is my new hero
December 20th, 2007I was stumbling through Youtube this evening looking though various political and economic videos and came across several interviews with Peter Schiff, who is the President of Euro Pacific Capital and the author of the book Crash Proof: How to Profit From the Coming Economic Collapse.
This guy is seriously amazing - I’m ordering his book on Amazon right now. Never before that I remember have I heard a financial consultant who understands the long term issues facing us due to the rampant devaluation of our currency by the Federal Reserve. Not only does he understand these issues, but he’s also developing investment strategies based on this information. I remember some time ago that Warren Buffet said in an interview that he hated investing against the dollar, but that there was just no way to justify not doing it. Schiff takes this to a whole new level.
